Dogs Clothes

I recently adopted an adult dog from the animal shelter and she is NOT potty trained. My other two dogs are, and I’ve trained several puppies, but this is the first time I’ve gotten an adult dog that obviously has never been indoors. I’m asking for help, not suggestions to take her to a trainer. I’m trying to do this myself. Thanks btw.. she’s a Great Dane.. so potty pads aren’t really an option.. she’d over flow them

i have a 3 year old dog and he makes my house his bathroom, can I still train him how to pee and poop outside my house. Is there any good book that you can recommend?

i went to see different dog training classes for my almost 5year old german shepherd in anchorage,ak but i see there is only a little bit about 4 or 5 training classes. has anyone from alaska taking these different schools. i need advice on where to go for my dog. i used to go to a school that is not dino’s donuts in anchorage, but i dont know where they moved to and what the school was called. thank you!

please give me some advise i need some training tips on a german shepherd

my mom got a dog from the pound and she is disabled so it is hard for her to take dog out. so when i can’t be there she uses potty training pads for in the house. when i am there the dog has unlimited access to the outside, but comes in to go potty. how do i change this behavior?

I normally throw them away in the trash, but I would like to throw them in the recycled bin.

I’m getting ready to purchase a German Shepherd (I know I’m spelling that wrong). I want to train him or her to be a guard dog while also training him or her to be social and good with kids. Where can I get informational books or DVDs on how to do so?

Got a terrified 7mth old dog from the shelter (rescued from a puppymill). Couldn’t go near him, pet him, get him out of his kennel (except to potty outside), eat/drink etc. After 3 weeks we still have a lot of his fears to work on but he will do everything above &enjoys being with us(he is progressing very well!)*BUT* potty training has regressed. When we got him he held it(getting outside was a priority even over his terrible fear of us). NOW he has accidents on the way(usually at the door but sometimes he will run around the house dropping gifts while trying to avoid coming to the door to go out)
We have gone by the book re shy dogs. No scolding/punishment (can make the problem worse), ignore bad & praise good behaviour, give treats, use calming signals.We tried clicker-not working so far, treats at the door & outside(too scared to eat),more trips(to every 1/2 hour or hour when we’re home), praise at thedoor when he doesn’t go there, now we started with a sharp “no” when he does.
